KRZYŻOWA – POLAND

The project dealt with the topic of “Forced Migration”, which moved in a multidisciplinary way between history, art and design.
In the Polish town of Krzyżowa (Kreisau), the idea of the Cross-Border Network experienced a new climax in the qualified interaction of science and art, with the inclusion of highly competent contemporary witnesses, under the prominent patronage of the President of the Humboldt-Viadrina School of Governance Prof. Dr Gesine Schwan, as well as the renowned Polish historian, publicist and politician Prof. Dr Wladyslaw Bartoszewski. Enormous innovative potential was revealed in the practical and theoretical accompaniment of this forum. Here a natural interlocking
a natural intermeshing of scientific discourse and artistic creativity across nationalities.

Participation: 82 students from Germany, Poland, France, Belgium, Ireland, USA, Slovakia and 22 teachers and artists.
